A Halloween enthusiast, Tim Yap hosted another unforgettable Halloween ball this year. Shake, Rattle and Ball 2024 brought together stars from the entertainment and creative industries. Held on October 30, 2024, at The Space at One Ayala in Makati City, this annual event celebrated over two decades of Tim’s Halloween traditions.

A “Cirque” Inspired Theme

This year’s Cirque theme invited guests to embrace the charm, magic, and whimsy of the circus. In collaboration with Sparkle GMA Artist Center’s Sparkle Spell, Tim encouraged attendees to explore their creativity, whether through interpreting the cirque theme or dressing as their favourite characters.

Donny and Hannah Pangilinan: A Show-Stealing Sibling Duo

Siblings Donny and Hannah Pangilinan captured attention with their standout costumes. Donny dressed as Frankenstein, while Hannah went as Anne Wheeler from The Greatest Showman, adding a sweet twist to the theme.

 

Carlos Yulo and Chloe San Jose: A Spooky Pair

Olympic gymnast Carlos Yulo joined the event as Chucky, adding his own twist with a crop-top look. His girlfriend, Chloe San Jose, completed the pair as Chucky’s Bride—a hauntingly perfect match.

 

Arar Pascual: A Surreal Design

Designer Arar Pascual wore a costume with extra hands, adding an illusion of constant motion. His costume embodied the surreal and added intrigue to the Cirque theme.

 

Khianna: The Multi-Faced Carousel

Drag Race Philippines alumna Khianna spun to victory with a multi-faced carousel costume, winning the best costume award. Her intricate design highlighted both Halloween and circus themes.

 

Tim Yap: Host as Kokey

The host himself, Tim Yap, was nearly unrecognizable as the beloved Filipino alien, Kokey. Tim’s costume brought nostalgia with a chrome-yellow spacesuit, gloves, a mask, and even a spaceship. Only when he removed his mask did guests realize it was Tim under the extraterrestrial guise.

 

Renz Pangilinan: The Mad Hatter

Celebrity hairstylist Renz Pangilinan drove everyone mad with his elaborate Mad Hatter look. With dramatic flair and eye-catching details, Renz brought Lewis Carroll’s character to life with his unique spin.
