Zia Dantes Shines as Aliw Awards’ Child Performer of the Year

At just eight years old, Zia Dantes, daughter of celebrity couple Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes, stepped into the spotlight and claimed the Aliw Breakthrough Child Performer of the Year award. The recognition came during the 37th Aliw Awards held on December 18, honoring her standout performance of “Rise Up” at the “Be the Guest” concert.

Zia attended the ceremony with her parents, who proudly watched as their daughter accepted the prestigious award. Wearing a lilac dress, she charmed the audience with her heartfelt speech.

“Good evening, everyone. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to speak to all of you. And thank you for the Aliw Award, especially thank you to teacher Jade for always telling me never to give up and always achieve my dreams,” Zia shared.

She also expressed gratitude to her family, saying, “And for mama, for always loving me and for always guiding me every step of the way. My family always loves me and always cares for me. Thank you, everyone, and good night.”

Dingdong Dantes later posted a photo of Zia holding her trophy, marking the proud moment on his Instagram story. The young performer’s achievement highlights her growing talent and the solid support system provided by her parents and mentors.

The Aliw Awards, established in 1977, celebrates individuals and productions in the local entertainment industry. Zia joins honorees Julie Anne San Jose, Entertainer of the Year, and Lea Salonga, Best Female Artist in a Major Concert.
