Less than a month after their engagement announcement, comedian Jose Manalo and his longtime partner, Mergene Maranan, exchanged vows in a private beach ceremony on December 17. Maranan was a radiant bride in a classic white wedding gown with spaghetti straps. She complimented her look with a low chignon and pearl earrings. Meanwhile, Manalo looked dashing in a pink suit over a white shirt. A white bloom also adorned his lapel.
“Congratulations, Jose and Mergene,” read Eat Bulaga’s message, acknowledging Manalo’s role as a mainstay of the show.
Although details of the proposal have been kept private, Maranan confirmed that Manalo had proposed to her earlier this year, following their long-term relationship.
Manalo, who was previously married to Anna Lyn Santos until her passing in 2022, has four children, including actor Benj Manalo.
