The upcoming Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) Celebrity Collab Edition is generating buzz with fresh updates. One of the biggest highlights from the March 1 media conference was the reveal of its official theme song, performed by Julie Anne San Jose and Darren Espanto.

This marks a historic collaboration between GMA Network and ABS-CBN, as artists from both networks come together for the show.

Modern Take on Sikat ang Pinoy

Julie Anne and Darren introduced a revamped version of Sikat ang Pinoy, the iconic PBB theme song written by Jonathan Manalo nearly two decades ago. Originally performed by Toni Gonzaga and Sam Milby, the song now carries a fresh, modern sound.

In a video played at the event, both Julie Anne and Darren expressed how honored they were to do their own rendition of the ‘PBB Celebrity Edition’ theme song.

Darren expressed his excitement about the project. “Ate Julie and I are honored to be part of this,” he said in a video played at the event. Julie Anne described it as a long-awaited moment for artists from both networks.

“We have been waiting for this,” she shared.

Darren also highlighted the new musical approach, ensuring the song resonates with today’s audience while keeping its original essence alive.

Hosts and Premiere Details

Set to premiere on March 9, PBB Celebrity Collab Edition will bring together stars from both GMA’s Sparkle and ABS-CBN’s Star Magic inside the well-known PBB house.
