In a major setback for the P-pop word, BINI Jhoanna, the leader of the sensational girl group BINI, will not be participating in KCON LA 2024. The group announced the unfortunate news on Sunday, July 28, through their official social media channels.
BINI has shared an update on Jhoanna’s health that has undoubtedly left fans with heavy hearts. The group has assured everyone that their beloved member is receiving the best possible care and is steadily recovering. However, the unforeseen health challenges she’s facing have made it impossible for her to join them on the much-anticipated KCON stage this year.
It’s a heartbreaking decision, no doubt. Jhoanna is a vibrant and talented member of BINI who brings immense joy to their performances. The group, as well as their dedicated fans, are sending all their love and support to Jhoanna as she focuses on healing.
While Maloi, Colet, Gwen, Stacey, and Aiah arrived in California on Friday to begin their KCON journey, Jhoanna, Mikha, and Sheena were still en route when the announcement broke.
Despite the absence of their leader, BINI remains steadfast in their commitment to delivering an unforgettable performance. The group is still set to electrify the crowd at the “M Countdown” pre-show on Saturday (US time) and engage with fans at the “Meet the Rising Stars: BINI” panel.
This was supposed to be a HUGE moment for BINI and P-Pop in general. KCON is a K-Pop giant, and BINI was ready to show the world their talent!
Jhoanna’s absence might sting a bit, but BINI’s spirit is still sky-high. They’re ready to shine, and we’re all sending our love and well wishes to Jhoanna for a speedy recovery.
