Kapuso actor Dingdong Dantes recently shared his admiration for Charo Santos-Concio, an award-winning actress and former ABS-CBN president and CEO. Dantes expressed gratitude for the chance to work alongside a respected industry veteran in an upcoming film.

In an interview, Dantes described the experience as surreal. “Napakaswerte ko na makasama lang sa kahit ganitong room si Ma’am Charo—much more makasama siya sa pelikula. Bawat moment na nag-uusap kami, ang dami ko talagang natututunan sa kanya.” He emphasized that Santos-Concio’s career and experiences deeply inspire him.

Dantes also praised her talent and professionalism. “Grabe, sobrang hanep talaga! Napaka-professional, napakagaling. Alam naman natin na she’s a pillar in this industry. Ako, I look up to her.” He noted that witnessing her decades of hard work unfold before him reinforced his admiration.

While Dantes kept the film’s title under wraps, he hinted that it will explore love, relationships, and friendships. “Ayoko magbigay ng masyadong details, but very interesting talaga ‘yung kwento ng dalawang characters.” He confirmed that the film is scheduled for release this year. “Very soon! This year ang plano na maipalabas siya—hopefully in the cinemas.”

Dantes first teased the project last year when he shared photos with Santos-Concio on Instagram. The post fueled excitement about their on-screen collaboration.

Beyond acting, Dantes remains active in business. He recently announced his continued partnership with MESA, a well-known Filipino restaurant chain, as part of its Road to 100 campaign.

MESA is set to open its 88th branch, and Dantes will join as a proud partner. “Special po sa akin ang signing na ito because to me it also signifies my inclusion to MESA’s history as a brand.”

Dantes has been a MESA ambassador since 2019, and CEO Rikki Dee credited him for helping the brand grow. The expansion aligns with MESA’s goal of reaching 100 branches nationwide.
