Enrique Gil is planning exciting new ventures as he makes his comeback to the entertainment industry. In an interview on November 13, he expressed his interest in co-producing future projects with Liza Soberano. Although Soberano is focusing on her career in the United States, she has shown enthusiasm for Gil’s upcoming horror project. This genre would mark a fresh chapter for the duo, as they have yet to explore it together.When asked about potential collaborators, Gil enthusiastically mentioned Soberano. “Of course, si Liza,” he shared, adding that despite her busy schedule in the U.S., they’ve discussed working together. “She’s really interested in my horror project,” Gil revealed. “Once she has a break, we’ll discuss the storyboard and next steps.”
New Ventures for Both Stars
This year has been full of new challenges for both Gil and Soberano. Gil has ventured into comedy with I Am Not Big Bird and will star in the Metro Manila Film Festival entry Strange Frequencies: Taiwan Killer Hospital. Meanwhile, Soberano made her Hollywood debut in Lisa Frankenstein, acting alongside Kathryn Newton and Cole Sprouse. She also collaborated with Thai actor Bright Vachirawit in the music video for Long Showers.
Soberano has also launched her own production company in the U.S., further increasing opportunities for future collaborations. “Eventually, siyempre, mag collab kami,” Gil said, highlighting their shared interest in working together both on and off-screen. However, he acknowledged that timing remains a key factor as both navigate their individual careers.
