Remember Marvin and Jolina? Yep, those two super stars from the 90s are teaming up again for a brand new movie called “Ex Ex Lovers”. This is the first time they’ll be in a movie together in over 20 years, so get ready for a major dose of nostalgia!
The movie company, Project 8 Projects, made the announcement in a super fun way. They released a video showing Marvin and Jolina hugging, just like they did in their old movies “Labs Kita… Okey Ka Lang?” and “Hey Babe!” It brought back so many memories.
The video also showed them with director JP Habac and other actors joining the cast. We’ll see Juan Karlos Labajo and Loisa Andalio alongside Marvin and Jolina. JP Habac is no stranger to directing hit movies, he made “I’m Drunk I Love You” and “Love You Long Time” too.
Marvin even posted his own video after the announcement. It was a mix of scenes from the new movie shoot and clips from their past movies together. Seeing them together again is just awesome.
Remember how they were also in “Kung Ayaw Mo Huwag Mo” and “Gimik: The Reunion”? They were such a great team! Marvin even made a special appearance in Jolina’s movie “I.T.A.L.Y.” and even voiced a character in her movie “Momshies! Ang Soul Mo’y Akin!”
Even though Jolina got married and Marvin became a chef, they always stayed friends. They both still act sometimes too.
There were talks about a reunion movie back in 2019, but things didn’t work out because of the pandemic and busy schedules. But guess what? It’s finally happening! Jolina even said in an interview, “We’re really excited about it! We haven’t given up on the project.”
