Kaila Estrada continues to build her career in entertainment, stepping out of the shadow of her celebrity parents, Janice de Belen and John Estrada. Now a rising star in ABS-CBN’s action series “Incognito,” she proves her talent alongside top actors like Daniel Padilla, Richard Gutierrez, Ian Veneracion, Baron Geisler, and Anthony Jennings.
Kaila understands the pressure of having famous parents. However, she embraces it while making a name for herself. “I don’t mind being recognized as their daughter, but I feel joy when people remember me for my own roles,” she shared.
Her latest role as Max Alvero, a skilled hacker in “Incognito,” challenges her acting abilities. She plays an equal role alongside her male co-stars, proving her versatility in the industry.
Through her character, Kaila has learned the importance of letting go. “Even if it’s painful, it’s the only way to move forward,” she said. She believes that as Max’s journey unfolds, this lesson will become even clearer.
Behind the scenes, the cast keeps the atmosphere light. Kaila enjoys working with her co-actors, saying, “We have a fun set. The guys always crack jokes, and sometimes we struggle to hold back laughter during takes.”
Kaila also opened up about her parents’ separation. She credits her siblings for helping her through the difficult time. “We leaned on each other. Open communication also helped us understand everything better,” she explained.
When it comes to love, Kaila follows the advice of her mother: “Always choose yourself.” She values a partner who supports her career, respects her family, and shares her faith.
Many mistake Kaila for being suplada because she tends to be quiet. However, she insists that she is far from it. “I don’t think I am,” she laughed.
