Maroon 5 returned to the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila for their fourth concert in the Philippines. The band, led by Adam Levine, kicked off their Asia Tour with a sold-out show on January 28, 2025. Fans packed the venue, singing along to every song.
The concert began with Culture Wars, an alternative rock band from the U.S. Lead singer Alex Dugan recalled their visit to the country last year when they opened for LANY. Near the end of their set, Dugan took off his jacket to reveal an “I Love Cebu” shirt, earning loud cheers from the crowd.
Next, DJ Mailbox hyped up the arena with remixes of popular hits like “Uptown Funk” and “Blinding Lights.”
Maroon 5 opened with “Animals.” Levine greeted the audience with, “How are we doing, Manila?” before launching into “One More Night.” As the band played “This Love,” he walked down the catwalk, encouraging fans to sing along.
Before performing “Stereo Hearts,” Levine praised the Filipino crowd. “We know here in the Philippines, you are the best singers. No one sings louder at Maroon 5 concerts.” The audience responded with booming voices, proving his point.
An Emotional Tribute During ‘Memories’
The mood shifted during “Memories,” a song dedicated to the band’s late manager, Jordan Feldstein. Fans lit up their phones, creating a sea of lights across the arena. Levine called for a group hug, appreciating the love from the crowd.
The setlist continued with hits like “Payphone,” “What Lovers Do,” and “Maps.” The concert’s final moments featured an acoustic version of “She Will Be Loved.” Fans sang so loudly that Levine restarted the first verse.
The concert ended with “Girls Like You” and “Sugar.” Before leaving the stage, Levine shouted, “Thank you so much, Manila! We are Maroon 5!” The band took a final bow as their logo lit up behind them.
This show proved once again that Filipino fans are among the most passionate music lovers in the world.
