mrld to Hold First Solo Concert, Release Debut Album “7th Sense”

Filipina singer-songwriter mrld will release her debut album, “7th Sense,” on March 7, 2025. This marks a major step in her career, as she shifts from releasing singles to producing a full-length record.

To celebrate, she will hold her first solo concert, “mrld 7th Sense,” on April 27, 2025, at the SM Skydome. The event is produced by OC Records, the label and talent agency led by Kean Cipriano and Chynna Ortaleza.

mrld’s Rise in OPM

Born Meriel de Jesus, mrld has become one of the most streamed female Original Pilipino Music (OPM) artists on Spotify. Since her debut in 2021, she has gained over four million monthly listeners, making her a key figure in the industry.

Her popular tracks include:

  • “An Art Gallery Could Never Be As Unique As You” – over 190 million streams
  • “Ligaya” – over 135 million streams
  • “Ikaw Pa Rin” – over 106 million streams
  • “Sandali” – nearly 60 million streams

Beyond streaming success, she has also gained international recognition. She was named Spotify RADAR Artist of the Year in 2023. In May 2024, she represented the Philippines at the CONNX Off The Weekend Festival in Malang, Indonesia, as the only Filipina artist in the lineup.

mrld describes “7th Sense” as an exploration of emotions that words and the five senses cannot fully express. She explains, “There are five senses, with common sense being the sixth. I named it ‘7th Sense’ because these songs capture emotions beyond those.”

Fans can expect the album to showcase the heartfelt lyricism and acoustic sound that define mrld’s music. The concert will bring these songs to life on stage, along with her biggest hits.
