P-pop trio G22 is still riding high after their electrifying performance alongside the country’s music giants, SB19 and Sandara Park. The young group shared the stage with the P-pop superstars and the K-pop icon at a high-profile tech event last Sunday, an experience they describe as a surreal dream come true.
A Dream Come True
“It’s still sinking in!” gushed Jaz, a member of G22, during a press conference on Monday. “Last night still feels like a dream. It was so amazing, the opportunity we had to collaborate with such incredible artists and also have that stage for our songs to perform. We are so grateful, and it was truly a milestone for us.”
Fellow group member Alfea admitted to feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness before the show. “Seeing the crowd, knowing that we were about to perform with our idols, was incredibly daunting. But at the same time, we were filled with gratitude for this incredible opportunity. Collaborating with SB19 and Sandara Park has been a dream since day one.”
Rising Stars in the P-Pop Scene
The trio has quickly gained attention as a rising force in the P-pop scene, but they’re well aware of the stiff competition. With established groups like BINI and SB19 making waves both locally and internationally, the pressure is on for G22 to prove their worth.
“We’re always pushing ourselves to be better,” declared AJ, another member of the group. “The competition in the industry is fierce, but we see it as motivation to work harder. Every day, we strive for excellence because we know that’s what our fans deserve.”
Despite the cutthroat nature of the music business, G22 remains steadfast in its commitment to uplifting the entire P-pop scene. “Our song ‘Boomerang’ has a line that says, ‘this is not a competition but a revolution,’” AJ emphasized. “P-pop is about unity, not rivalry. We all share the same goal of elevating Filipino music to the global stage.”
With their sights set on further conquering the music industry, G22 revealed their desire to collaborate with other OPM icons like Ben&Ben and Yeng Constantino. Since their debut in 2022, the group has steadily released new music, captivating audiences with their fresh sound and undeniable talent.
As P-pop Trio G22 continues to soar, there’s no doubt that they are making their mark on the Philippine music scene. With their infectious energy, undeniable talent, and passion, these young artists are poised to become one of the country’s biggest music acts.
