Actor Richard Gutierrez has finally addressed the persistent rumors linking Barbie Imperial to his separation from Sarah Lahbati. During a candid interview with Ogie Diaz on his YouTube channel, Richard directly denied any connection between Barbie and the end of his marriage.

“Barbie has nothing to do with my separation from Sarah,” Richard said firmly. He clarified that his closeness with Barbie developed only after he and Sarah mutually decided to part ways. To stress his point, he added, “There was no overlap.”

The rumors started after Richard and Barbie were spotted together at a gastropub launch in Alabang, where both are co-partners. Their public appearance led many to speculate about their relationship. However, Richard explained that they became close through professional meetings and casual group gatherings, not during his marriage.

Richard described Barbie as someone who is both genuine and caring, saying, “What you see is what you get with her.” He expressed concern over the hate Barbie has received online due to the allegations. “People are quick to judge without knowing the facts,” he said, reflecting on the harsh criticism Barbie faced. “Ang daming nagre-react sa kanya, ang daming nag-hate comment. Siyempre, kailangan ko siyang protektahan,” he shared, showing his protective stance.

Richard also opened up about his separation from Sarah, revealing that they are currently working on annulling their marriage. Despite the challenges, both remain committed to co-parenting their two sons, ensuring they maintain a stable and loving environment.
