Sunshine Cruz and Atong Ang Attend Wedding as Sponsors

Actress Sunshine Cruz and businessman Atong Ang attended a wedding together recently, just days after confirming their romantic relationship. Both were dressed in matching black outfits and served as sponsors, or “ninong and ninang,” at the ceremony. This traditional role is often reserved for close family or friends.  

The confirmation of their relationship came after a video showing Cruz and Ang sharing a kiss at a cockpit arena went viral, sparking widespread curiosity from fans and media alike. Neither Cruz nor Ang has publicly explained the details of how their relationship began. Rumors of their closeness first emerged early last year when they were spotted together at a party. But neither had made any formal announcements until recently.  

Their appearance at the wedding was highlighted in a Facebook post by Kate Villalon, who shared photos of Cruz and Ang walking down the aisle. However, Villalon did not clarify their connection to the couple getting married, leaving many questions unanswered about their relationship status.  

Cruz, a familiar face in Philippine cinema and television, has faced public scrutiny over her personal life. Her marriage to actor Cesar Montano ended in 2018 after an annulment, and she confirmed her separation from Macky Mathay in 2020. Ang, meanwhile, remains legally married to Iris, his non-showbiz wife, further adding complexity to the story.  

As Cruz and Ang continue to be followed by public attention, their presence at the wedding continues to fuel speculation about their relationship. Fans and observers are left wondering about the future of their union, especially given the ongoing public interest in both their personal lives.
