Willie Revillame Urges People To Move On From Issue With ABS-CBNWillie Revillame is tired of issues with ABS-CBN and is urging people to move on from it.
During a tour of Wil Tower Mall, which a report from the Philippine Entertainment Portal describes as “opulent”, Revillame remarked that people should not think of his previous rift with ABS-CBN anymore.
When asked about the recent rejection by the Court of Appeals of a case filed by ABS-CBN against him, he said, “Na-junk daw, di ba? Hindi ko alam e hindi ko na nga inaano ‘yan.”
“Parang ang feeling ko, tama na. We have to move on, di ba? Move on na tayong lahat,” he added.
Furthermore, he spoke numerous times about having a debt to ABS-CBN and how thankful he is of the network.
“Kung makita ko si Ma’am Charo [Charo Santos-Concio, ABS-CBN President and CEO], I will embrace her, halikan ko siya. Si Tita Cory [Cory Vidanes, ABS-CBN Channel Head], Boss Gabby [Eugenio Lopez III, ABS-CBN Chairman], I will thank them dahil nagkaroon ako ng ganito,” he said, referring to Wil Tower Mall.
In another part of the report, he is quoted saying, “Well, sa akin tapos na yun, e. Noong lumipat na ako ng TV5, hindi na ako nagkaroon ng ano, masamang feelings sa kanila. I have to move on, parang lumipat ako ng ibang bahay.”
His feud with ABS-CBN started when he wanted the network to fire Jobert Sucaldito who he alleges disrespected his show.
“Ganun naman tayo, lilipat ka ng ibang bahay kasi mahirap na rito, hindi ka na masaya rito, hindi ka na welcome dito, maghahanap ka ng isang bahay na malilipatan,” he said.
Meanwhile, in another part of the tour, Revillame also expressed his gratitude toward Manny Villar who he said financed the whole project which sits on land he bought as a result of his work for ABS-CBN. He also expressed how grateful he is to Manny V. Pangilinan and Atty. Ray Espinoza.
Nonetheless, he denied that he sent feelers to ABS-CBN, an issue which may explain why he is praising ABS-CBN.
“Not true! Walang katotohanan yun! Wala akong nakakausap. Hindi naman totoo na nakapag-usap… Even si Ma’am Charo… It’s unethical for me, sa sarili ko, if I talk to any channel right now. Hindi pa tapos ang contract ko. After October 15, then, I’m free,” PEP quotes Revillame saying.
According to PEP, he remarked during the tour, “Ang ganda nga ng istorya kung ikukuwento ko sa inyo 'to lahat. After my five years in ABS, napundar ko ‘tong lupa, di ba. And then, after three years naman, nakapagpundar naman ako ng mga lupa din, nakabili pa ako ng eroplano…ng hotel, ang dami ko pang nabili! You know, yung naging buhay ko sa ABS, ‘eto, mall.”
As for his contract with TV5, he said that he will finish it up to its end on October 15 and that negotiations between the Kapatid network and his camp are underway.
“I’ll finish my contract by October 15. May negotiations kami, I have a meeting with them. Kung kukunin ba ako ng TV5, may negotiation…Kung hindi naman, magpapasalamat ako sa kanila,” he said.
