Fil-Am Actor Jacob Batalon Announces Engagement to Girlfriend Veronica Leahov

Filipino-American actor Jacob Batalon announced his engagement to his long-time girlfriend, Veronica Leahov. The couple shared the news through social media, posting photos from the proposal in New York City.

Jacob, known for playing Ned Leeds in the Spider-Man films, posted a series of engagement photos on Instagram. One image showed him on one knee, holding out a ring to Veronica. Behind them stood a floral heart-shaped arrangement with neon lights that read, “Will you marry me?”

Jacob, 28, captioned his post, “The beginning of the rest of our lives together.” The couple also shared a close-up of Veronica’s engagement ring.

On her Instagram, Veronica expressed her emotions about the engagement. “A lifetime of us! I never imagined my heart could hold so much love,” she wrote. She described the moment as “pure happiness” and said she looks forward to their future.

Born in Hawaii to Filipino parents, Jacob gained international recognition for his role in Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), Spider-Man: Far from Home (2019), and Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021).

Beyond Marvel, he starred in the SyFy series Reginald the Vampire, where he honored his Filipino roots by using his mother’s last name in the show and speaking Ilocano.

Jacob and Veronica made their relationship public last year. Since then, they frequently post moments from their travels and heartfelt messages for each other.

On Veronica’s birthday, Jacob wrote, “I just want the world to know how special you are.” Meanwhile, Veronica, in turn, described him as someone who “showed me what true love really is.”

Fans and friends filled the couple’s posts with congratulations. Some referenced Jacob’s Spider-Man character, saying, “Ned, your friend Mr. Parker would be happy for you.”

Jacob’s engagement follows rumors of his Spider-Man co-stars, Tom Holland and Zendaya, also planning a wedding. Consequently, this has sparked even more excitement among fans.

With their engagement now official, Jacob and Veronica are stepping into a new chapter of their lives together.
