Kapuso star Heart Evangelista has finally addressed rumors of a rift between her and Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach. In a recent interview, Evangelista clarified that she has no personal issues with Wurtzbach, but rather, with the people in Wurtzbach’s inner circle.
Clarifying Misunderstandings and Addressing Speculations
The controversy stemmed from the fact that Wurtzbach’s current glam team, makeup artist Justine Louise Soriano and hairstylist Jeck Aguilar, were previously part of Evangelista’s team. This led to speculation about a falling out between the two celebrities.
“Woman to woman, I never had a problem with Pia,” Evangelista stated. “In fact, I was one of those who cheered for her in the past. And I’d like to think that it was the same for her.” Evangelista emphasized that her issue lies with the people surrounding Wurtzbach. “It’s the people that she chose to surround herself with for specific reasons that makes this whole thing problematic,” she said.
She also expressed concern for Wurtzbach’s well-being, saying, “I hope what happened to me doesn’t happen to you.” Evangelista’s former glam team has been accused of being “emotional terrorists” who caused her significant emotional distress. “You have to truly be careful who you trust and who you freely give your heart away,” she warned. “Because sometimes, may makakapasok talaga ng mga emotional terrorists that are there to kill and destroy your life.”
Reflecting on her own experiences, Evangelista shared that she regrets allowing such people into her life. “If there’s anything I regret in my life, it’s (that) I put everybody at risk,” she said. “I put our family at risk because I allowed certain people to do that.”
Despite her public image as a successful artist and influencer, Evangelista revealed that her life is far from perfect. She wants her audience to understand that everyone goes through challenges and that it’s possible to overcome them.
