Indonesian singer NIKI captivated her Filipino fans on the first night of her “Buzz Around the World Tour” at the Mall of Asia Arena on February 11. The concert, presented by Live Nation Philippines, featured a setlist filled with her most popular songs and heartfelt moments that resonated deeply with the audience.
A Night of Music and Emotion
NIKI opened the night with the title track of her latest album, “Buzz.” She followed it with “Keeping Tabs,” “Colossal Loss,” and “Focus.” Fans cheered as she seamlessly blended her hits “Backburner” and “Take a Chance With Me.”
One of the most emotional moments came when she performed “Did You Like Her in the Morning?” Before starting the song, she told the crowd, “I hope you guys feel better.” The audience swayed with their phone flashlights on, creating a sea of lights that mirrored the song’s melancholic theme. She also surprised fans with a cover of “Linger” by The Cranberries, adding a nostalgic touch to the evening.
A Thoughtful Performer
During her performance of “Tsunami,” NIKI noticed a fan in the VIP section needing medical assistance. Without hesitation, she paused the show and called for medics, reminding the crowd, “Take care of each other. Love you guys, stay safe out there.” Her genuine concern for her fans showcased her deep connection with them.
