Sharon Cuneta and Kiko Pangilinan have been married for nearly 29 years. Their journey has not been without challenges, but their love and faith have kept them strong.
In a recent interview with Karen Davila, the couple spoke honestly about the struggles in their relationship. Sharon admitted they had come close to separating several times. She shared how the pressures of politics and her past traumas affected their marriage. “I thought showbiz was intrusive, but politics is even more so,” she said.
Despite the challenges, Sharon said that prayer has always been their anchor. She recalled waking up one day with a renewed sense of love for Kiko. “Suddenly, I felt deeply in love again,” she said.
Kiko described Sharon as his source of purpose and strength. “Without her, my life has no meaning. She’s the reason I wake up every morning,” he said. Humor also plays a key role in their relationship. Sharon joked about Kiko always ending arguments with, “Yes, dear.”
Family is Their Priority
The couple shares four children: Frankie, Miel, Miguel, and KC Concepcion, Sharon’s daughter from a previous marriage. Sharon expressed gratitude for Kiko’s unconditional love for KC, treating her as his own.
Their youngest, Miguel, was adopted, and Sharon called him an answered prayer. “I knew I was ready for him,” she said. Their children remain at the center of their lives, and they strive to model the values they hold dear.
Strength Through Love
Sharon and Kiko believe in working hard to keep their marriage strong. For them, love requires patience, commitment, and mutual respect. Kiko said that being a husband and father gives his life purpose, while Sharon credits Kiko for helping her heal from past wounds.
Their story shows that love, faith, and family are the keys to a lasting relationship.
