An online spat between Kapamilya stars Chie Filomeno and Dawn Chang has sparked public attention after an old interview resurfaced. The incident has brought past tensions between the two back into the spotlight.
Three months ago, Dawn Chang appeared on The Men’s Room, hosted by Stanley Chi and Anjo Yllana. During the show, Dawn was asked about a celebrity she had clashed with in the past. Initially, she claimed to have forgotten the details but later shared an account of a dance rehearsal conflict with a fellow actress.
Dawn stated that the other actress had accused her of initiating the fight. Without naming names, Dawn hinted that the celebrity’s initials were similar to those of a well-known personality, Christy Fermin. Dawn also mentioned the same actress had been involved in another argument.
On January 24, a netizen tagged Chie Filomeno in a post referencing Dawn’s remarks. Chie responded through X (formerly Twitter), confronting Dawn directly.
“Oh bakit nahiya ka pa pangalanan ako @thedawnchang?” Chie questioned, challenging Dawn to fully reveal her identity.
Chie also denied Dawn’s claims. “About the rehearsal, that NEVER happened,” Chie wrote, asserting that even the Showtime production team had no knowledge of the alleged incident. She further accused Dawn of spreading lies, adding
“Your mouth is full of lies talaga no?”
In another tweet, Chie refuted the accusation of pulling Dawn’s hair during their altercation. She called on Dawn to let go of the past “Naka move on na lahat. Tahimik na buhay ko, andoon pa din si ate mo Dawn. 2025 na, tumigil ka na.”
In the same interview, Dawn insisted she had moved on from the conflict but added a playful remark “For fun, ibubulong ko sa inyo kung sino siya.” She then whispered the name to the show’s hosts.
Both Chie and Dawn gained fame through their time on Pinoy Big Brother and their membership in the GirlTrends dance group on It’s Showtime. Since then, they have pursued acting careers, appearing in several Kapamilya programs.
The resurfaced feud has reignited public curiosity about their past, leaving fans to wonder if this chapter will finally close or lead to further controversy.
