TJ Monterde continues to make waves in the OPM scene. After three sold-out concerts at the Smart Araneta Coliseum from February 1-3, he officially became the most-streamed Filipino artist on Spotify for the first time.
A Historic Milestone in OPM
His record-breaking achievements include:
- First solo male artist to sell out the Big Dome for three consecutive nights.
- His song “Palagi,” featuring KZ Tandingan, hit one billion streams on Spotify.
- Billboard Philippines recognized “Palagi” as the No. 1 song of 2024 on both the Top Philippine Songs and Hot 100 charts.
These milestones solidify the 35-year-old singer as a leading figure in the recording and concert industry.
More than 100 celebrities and artists attended TJ’s historic concert run. Some of the biggest names in entertainment showed their support, including:
- Actors: Michael Sager, Jillian Ward, Miles Ocampo, Elijah Canlas, Maymay Entrata, Barbie Forteza, Sam Milby, and Marvin Agustin.
- Music stars: Zephanie, Jason Dy, The Juans, Cup of Joe, Yeng Constantino, Erik Santos, Kyla, and Martin Nievera.
- P-Pop groups: BINI, VXON, AJAA, Yes My Love, G22, Mikki and Gelo of BGYO, and members of Alamat and SB19.
- Online personalities: Panginoon ng Kababawan, Chichi Dela Cruz, Fonzi, Ser Geybin, and Fyang.
- Pageant and showbiz icons: Vice Ganda, Catriona Gray, Herlene Budol, Ogie Diaz, and Ara Arida
Prior to the concerts, allchartsPH reported that TJ’s total Spotify streams across all credits had surpassed one billion. Following the final show, Smart Araneta Coliseum officially recognized him as the first Filipino solo male artist to achieve three consecutive sold-out nights at the venue.
A few days later, allchartsPH confirmed that TJ had reached another milestone—becoming the most streamed OPM artist on Spotify for the first time. This follows his previous ranking as one of the most streamed male OPM artists in recent years.
With momentum on his side, TJ is set to bring his successful “Sarili Nating Mundo” concert to the global stage this March. His journey as a top OPM artist continues to evolve, backed by strong support from fans and industry peers.
